Skydiving the Florida Keys
Special thanks to Josh and the crew at Sky Dive Key West for helping me check off a bucket list item. The crew and scenery are top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to jump with them again. If you’ve ever thought of trying skydiving, don’t wait. I’m pretty sure I’ll be doing it again. Another special thanks to Katy for the support. We had a nice 10-15 minute sight seeing flight up to 10,000’ and turned back towards the landing zone. We jumped from 10k and it actually felt like flying vs falling. There wasn’t a stomach flop or butterflies in your stomach feeling. Once the drag chute is deployed, the free fall is really cool. The wind at 120 makes it so you can’t hear, but the vented goggles help you see everything. Once the main chute is deployed, there’s a bit of a jolt but the ride is really quiet at that point.
