Navarre Beach and Pensacola

Image
Yesterday we made it to @emerald_beachrvpark and hung out in the campground.  It’s a nice park with good water access in Navarre Beach. The back in spots on the water have a nice deck area.  Today we went over to Pensacola Beach and out to Fort Pickens to walk the beach and watch the @usnavyblueangels practice.  The weather was great and it was awesome walking the beach and Fort area.  Lots of prop planes and two jets out of NAS Pensacola, but no Blue Angels.  Maybe next time @kate_heats .  After several hours out by the Fort, we went back to Pensacola Beach and had lunch @shaggys_ .  The Mahi Mahi Tacos were great and Katy liked her Crab Cakes.  Long drive day tomorrow.  #florida #floridabeaches #pensacolabeach #fortpickensnationalpark #saltlife #beachday #no_more_someday #fulltimerv #fulltimervliving #fulltimervers #traveltrailerlife #livelancelife #lance2075 #fordsuperdutydiesel #fordf250superduty #dieseltrucks

Florida Gulf Cost

We had a short travel day to Panama City Beach.  We went to St Andrew’s State Park and found a spot to park the rig.  Florida doesn’t have many dog friendly beaches so we walked them quickly, got them some water and locked them in.  We had a nice walk and picked some beach glass.   We then drove up the 30 along the water which was the long way to our Harvest Hosts.  We stayed at the Southern Grace Lavender Farm.  It’s a nice spot, with an amazing story and great products.  We bought a few items and have already used the Lavender/Eucalyptus pillow mist.  It smells so good.  Off to Destin today.

White Oak Pastures & Moon Pie Farm and Creamery

Yesterday became hot and muggy real quick.  I guess the temp got down to 65 overnight, but the humidity stayed around 80%.  By midday the temp was 87.  We took a 45 minute drive over to Bluffton, GA to visit a farm.   I’ve heard about White Oak Pastures for years and the work that owner Will Harris is doing in farming.  White Oak is a 6th generation farm that has been in operation for over 150 years.  It is on both sides of the highway and goes for miles.  I’m really impressed by their regenerative, carbon sequestration style of farming.  They raise their animals right and utilize everything on the animals.  They also employ a great number of people.  Mr Harris also has “internships” for people who want to know more about this type of farming.   Recently, Bill Gates was even invited to the farm by Mr Harris to learn how things are done at this type of farm.   In February, Gates said that rich nations should switch to eating syn...
