Charleston, SC. Worth the Trip.

Image
Yesterday we woke up to an alarm to get to Charleston for our tour.  We took two laps with the dogs and secured them in Sis for the day with the AC on.  It did get up to 88*.  The drive to Charleston was about 70 minutes of nice divided highway (Hwy 17) and country backroads.   We got into town and found 4 hours of parking for $8 right by the Custom House.  This was nice because that is where our tour started.  We were a few minutes early so we looked in on the City Market and I picked up an iced coffee.   Just before 10am, we met our tour guides, Martha and Susan with Charleston Perspective walking tours.  They can trace their Charleston roots back to the 1670’s.  The tour is 2 hours long and covers a little over a mile in the Walled City.  We saw so many interesting things with the background of them, not just looking at them.   It’s amazing to see buildings that are still intact after hundreds of years.  It really puts it in...
