Since we’ve been on the road we’ve been hearing the same question or statement.  These three things have popped up even more in the past two weeks.  How can you live in something so small?  You two must really love each other.  I/we could never do what you two are doing.   Living in something this small really simplifies things.  We don’t spend 24/7 in the rig.  Yes, we do love each other.  This experience has made our bond tighter.  Yes, you can live small if you are willing to take the leap.  At this point we value experiences over what we used to own.   On to what we’ve been up to.  We of course have been working the past few weeks.  Katy has been working outside a bit and has been enjoying that.  We had a few days of rain and some cooler weather so that has been nice.  We visited the Garden of 1000 Buddhas and that was pretty cool.  It is kind of random that it is in a valley in NW Montana.   I orde...

Time Flys or Flies?

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, actually the entire summer has flown by.  We had family in town for a week, went back to work for a bit and then had friends in town for a few days.  We had a great time with both and some busy work days in between.   We spent time at the beach, fished a little bit (caught nothing) and went into the forest for huckleberries.  We picked a pint of berries in an hour up by Lakeside.  The area we were in was pretty picked over.  No wonder they go for $150 a gallon.   We headed up to Lake Mary Ronan and Camp Tuffitt the other day to see how close the Elmo fire got.  It was pretty close and there were still some hot spots in the burn.  The firefighters did some amazing work.  Another fire, the Garceau kicked up this week west of Polson.  It created quite the plume of smoke as the day wore on.   We had some great beach and paddle days at Mary Ronan and Finley Point.  My Isle Inflatable SU...
