High winds and slow driving

Yesterday we left Tucson (nice sunrise)

for Alamogordo NM.  There were high head and cross winds the whole way.  Also lots of dust and low visibility at times.  We stopped for fuel and to put some stuff in the mail in Tucson and again got fuel in Deming NM.  Mileage was down quite a bit.

The trailer and truck were rocking quite a bit and at times we slowed to 55ish on the freeway.  We picked up groceries in Las Cruces NM and then made our way through the White Sands Missile Range.  There was a border patrol agent at the checkpoint who really liked our set up.  We told him it’s our home and he sent us on our way.

We got to Alamogordo just before dark and set up as it was cloudy, otherwise we would have had a little longer of daylight.  We put in our non traditional Pasties and watched Lone Survivor.

I didn’t post our California travels, but the highlighted roads are the ones we have been down in AZ.
