Back to Moh-beel.

Yesterday we each got a workout in and it felt good.  We went to pick up some dog food and ended up with a few other things.  A new quilt as the one we have has a few holes and is from when we moved to Oregon.  We also ended up with a new pan.  Our old thick bottom Calphalon is also from circa 2007.  It was no longer non stick.

We snagged lunch at Wintzell’s in Mobile.  It was good, I had a chicken Po Boy and Katy had a shrimp blt.  We then drove back to the USS Alabama Museum.  We spent quite a bit of time on the ship then made our way over to the USS Drum.  Both are WWII era ships used in the war.  The Alabama is a battleship and the Drum is a submarine.  I’ve been on a “new” submarine in the 90’s, a SSBN and an Aircraft Carrier, the Nimitz.  It was really cool to see the old technology.  If in the Mobile area, this is worth the stop.  There’s also a selection of aircraft on site too.

We ended our afternoon at Serda Brewing and had a great time there.  We met a retired pilot from Wyoming who came to Mobile to help build the brewery.  The beer was good, I was able to get into a few “sours” as they were not hopped.
