Back to Waco before travel day
Saturday we headed back into Waco for the Saturday Market. It was a cute little market across from the McLennan Co Courthouse. It was raining pretty hard so we didn’t stick around very long. We did a driving tour of downtown Waco which was pretty cool and also found we were really close to Magnolia again. After looking at the crowds, we were really excited we went on Friday.
(If you look closely at the courthouse, one of the lady justices on the roof has a broken scale.). I didn’t notice it until an old rancher pointed it out to me.
Yesterday was drive day. We checked out right before the 11am checkout and pointed the rig southeast. It was a pretty easy drive, lots of backroads in Texas. We stopped for diesel in College Station and then had an hour to go.
We stayed at our first Harvest Host farm. The setting isn’t our typical HH as we are in a parking lot with lots of big rigs, RVs, farm equipment and trucks. It’s really secure though and we back up to a pond.
Our hosts gave us a bucket of animal feed and we fed the herd. Horses, goats, donkeys, mini donkeys, big cows and baby cows.
