#1 Beach in the USA?

Yesterday we drove over to Sarasota FL to check out Siesta Key Beach.  This beach was named the top beach in the USA several times.  It appears spring break is still on full swing here, or it’s just busy all the time.  We spent an hour trying to find parking with no luck.  We ended up paying $25 for parking pretty close to the beach.

While driving in and driving around looking for parking, we saw some great Caribbean water and some displays of wealth.  The boats and the houses on the water and inland water ways are insane.  We made our way to the beach and walked in at the Yellow lifeguard shack.  We then walked several colors up and back in to the gift shop.  No sticker.

We walked back out to the water and back south to the yellow guard shack.  The water is beautiful and it was 73*.  Air temp 81*.  There were a lot of people and it seems that it would be best to get to the parking lot by 0800 if you want a good spot on the water.  The sand is really white and is super fine.  It is a really nice beach and I’d love to see it when it’s not packed.
