Melbourne Beach
Yesterday we swung over to Melbourne Beach and put our feet in the Atlantic before the storms rolled in. We took a drive up the coast to check things out as well. The storms rolled through pretty much all day.
We caught a break in the weather and had lunch at Hemingway’s Tavern up in Melbourne. The Cuban was awesome and the takeaway Key Lime Pie was great. We got back to the camper around 3:00 and got another lap in with the dogs. Several storms rolled through and kept us inside for a bit longer.
We made some BBQ pork chops on the grill and it finally cleared up a little. I put my kayak in and went for a quick paddle. There were quite a few dolphins in the channel. I could hear them clearing their blowholes and also hear them breathing in. The photos don’t do it justice and I didn’t get picks of the closest ones. I think they were toying with me and the kayak. Just when I thought I knew where one would be, it would pop up on the other side.
There was also another gorgeous sunset.
