Made it to Virginia
We had an hour long drive up to Virginia Beach yesterday. It was an east drive. Our Google maps did bring us past an old airfield on a narrow road, but we made it just fine. I did fold the mirrors in while passing a construction crew. We stopped at a Harris Teeter grocery store which was just like a Fred Meyer. We had lunch at Kelly’s Tavern by Dam Neck. The brisket burger was good.
The KOA here is nice and we are parked next to two other Lance’s. A 2285 from Ohio and an 1172 from Texas. The 2285 is being pulled by a Porsche Cayenne. Seems a little small…. We got set up and did a deep clean of the rig.
We hung out in the afternoon and walked the dogs a bit. We also made a meatloaf for dinner. The jets from NAS Oceana have been pretty cool. There’s also been quite a few Blackhawks and Ospreys.
