Mike’s Farm

After the thunderstorms things cleared up nicely.  We had an hour drive up to another Harvest Host.  We stayed at Mike’s Farm near Camp Lejune or Richlands, NC.  We met another great family who was staying and exchanged some swag.

The farm is beautifully set up and there is something for everyone.  They have a bakery, gift shop, coffee shop, wine tasting, restaurant and store that is dedicated to all things North Carolina.  The Harvest Host area is huge and we were able to throw the ball for Duncan quite a bit.  It helped him sleep better.

Katy and I got a glass of wine and walked the property.  We fed the animals shopped a bit.  I found some NC Coffee and beard oil, Katy found some marinade and we also bought a basket of strawberries.

We went to the restaurant at about 5.  So many people had recommended the family style dinner.  It was 16.99 per person.  All you could eat.  There was southern fried chicken, pork tenderloin, potatoes, gravy, corn, beans, biscuits, Mac and cheese and dessert.  It also included drinks.  We didn’t finish the original dishes they brought out for us.  There was so much food.  There is a less expensive takeout option where we may have been able to finish it.

Great HH stay.
