Road and Walking Tour

Yesterday we got up early, had breakfast and walked the dogs.  We then loaded them in the truck and took a drive up to north Myrtle Beach along the ocean.  It was really quiet.  Lots of stuff was closed and lots of places were hiring.

We then drove south to check out the Murrels Inlet area.  We walked the dogs down there and had a quick lunch at Wicked Tuna.  It was pretty good, we’d go back.  It was a cool area and is the main fishing port in the MB area.  There were some really nice personal and charter boats.  We had some light rain roll through so we headed back towards the campground.  We walked the dogs again and saw a dead copperhead on the road.

After our walk, we took a bike ride to The Crazy Mason Milkshake bar.  The kids got to enjoy the AC.  The ride was 6 miles round trip and didn’t come close to scratching the surface of the calories consumed.  I had the short and sweet and Katy had the you got to be puddin me.  They were good and really rich.  We didn’t or couldn’t finish them.  You’ll see the pics.

We cooked a spatch chicken on the grill for dinner and had a relaxing evening.  There were a few thunderstorms in the area and we had rain from about 7:30 to midnight.
