15 States
Saturday we left the Nashville KOA at 1058 with an 11 checkout. Our usual exit time, right on time. We only had a 37 minute drive up the 65 to our next stop. Have we mentioned Harvest Hosts for overnight stays. This helped fill in the gap to our next destination.
We pulled into Sumner Crest Winery and got set up. I say that loosely. We had a 30a hookup which was a lifesaver as it was 92* and a little humid. We went in and checked the winery out after getting the AC going for the pups.
The winery is nice and has some old classic Fords inside. There is a gift shop and several seating areas indoors and out. The wines were also really good. We walked away with two bottles. We also got to toss the ball for the dogs when the winery was closed and it was cooler.
Yesterday we left the winery at about 10 am and crossed into our 15th State. Kentucky for the next week. Our drive was about 2 hours with traffic and driving 65 instead of 70. We made it up to Elizabethtown and got set up. We walked the dogs and went for fuel and groceries.
We came back, unpacked and walked the kids again. We had bunless Phillys on the Blackstone and threw the ball for the dogs again. Overall good day.
