Broadway
Yesterday we walked the kids quite a bit and then headed for west Nashville. Costco for an eye appointment and then Publix for some supplies. We got back to the campground around 1, walked the dogs and then headed for the city.
The shuttle bus dropped us off a block from Broadway, near the Country Music Hall of Fame. We walked around town for a few hours to get a lay of the land. We stopped in to Tootsies and listened to some music. The house band was pretty good. A guy named Nick from Connecticut came in off the street with his guitar case and stood by the front door. The band got him to come up and play two songs. He did great. Johnny Cash and Otis Redding.
We walked around a little more and could hear a lady singing in Rippys. She sounded good so we took a walk in to check it out. On top of being a good singer, she also played the violin. We got back to the shuttle and made our way home.
When we got back, I seasoned the Blackstone and we did some steaks and potatoes. They turned out pretty good for the first cook. After dinner, I hit the pool and hot tub. There were some young twenty somethings in the hot tub having a conversation about toxic masculinity. What an education. A guy from Texas with his Texas flag shorts and Come and Take It mug joined us in the hot tub and the twenty somethings quickly left. It was pretty comical.
