Pigeon Forge

After slow rolling our morning, working out and walking the kids, we headed for town.  We went and got the oil changed in the truck.  It took 2 hours instead of an hour.  I think they had to go to Ford for oil or the filter.  Ford did not have any openings.

After the oil, we went and picked up some Bravecto for the dogs.  It’s Tick season so it’s important to keep on top of it.  Parkway Vet Clinic was super helpful and they were all friendly up in the front.  We then hit up the Local Goat for a late lunch.  The burgers were good.

We hit up friendly falls on our way back.  It’s a quick stop along the 73.  I think it’s worth checking out.  The falls are cool and you can get in the water a little ways above them.  The river isn’t big enough to sweep you down over the falls.

After the water tour, we stopped at a few places in Cades Cove area.  Cades Cove Winery (super sweet) and XXX Tennessee Shine Co.  We picked up some Jalapeño Cornbread Shine.  Sounds weird, but you gotta try it.  We also watched Lawless the other night, seeing that we are in Shine Country.

Since we had such a late lunch we sat out until 8:30 when the bugs came out and we just had a few small snacks for dinner.
