Rainy Daze

The past two days have been pretty damp.  If it’s not raining, it’s been near the low to mid 80s with 80% + humidity.  We did a driving tour of the area two days ago.  Of course the rain came right after washing both rigs.  This is the 3rd time that’s happened.

On our driving tour Sunday, traffic was crazy in the Pigeon Forge area.  Once we got to Sevierville and headed west it was quite a bit lighter.  The area is really cool and we hit some backroads towards Marysville.  We made our loop back in from Townsend and saw a bear walking along the top of a log.  We whipped a U-ey and went back to see it.  He was already up in the woods.

We hung out for the rest of the afternoon and made dinner.  After dinner, we watched our favorite traveling YouTube families.

Yesterday was another damp day, heavy rain for a while.  We went to town and did 4 loads of laundry.  Two loads in the dryer.  The laundromat was pretty meh, but it got the job done.  We are now really appreciative of parks that have laundry at them.  That is my only gripe about this park we are in.  Honeysuckle Meadows has been great and we highly recommend it otherwise.

Someone asked about laundry in all these “used” machines.  We had a chat with someone else on the road not too long ago about this.  No matter what flavor detergent you use, your clothes kinda smell like laundry soup.  Clean, but no distinct “Tide” scent.

We also did a large grocery shop, dumped our tanks and are getting ready to hit the road this morning.  We have a few days of boondocking ahead of us.  Our new neighbors also have a Lance.  Theirs is the 2185 with bunks in the back.

More updates from the road.
