Hocking Hills State Park
Monday we drove down to our next campsite. It was only a 40 minute drive. The road in (10 miles) was very windy with a few steep spots. We got back into some hills and canyons. The area around the winery was relatively flat.
We got to the park a bit early and we’re allowed to come up and see if our site was available. It was not as the people had it until 1. They were just like us, out at 12:55. We went to get set up and the site was full of hay to keep the mud in check. It was not a nice site, or I should say it would be a nice site if it hadn’t rained multiple inches in the last few days.
We spoke with the park and we’re able to switch spots for our 3 night stay. We got set up and walked the dogs in the heat. They were pretty tired by the time we got back. Actually we were all tired and I burnt my head a bit with no hat on. A dad and his girls came by and said you’re welcome for that steep site. He moved because it had too much of an angle. Not bad for us at 20’.
Yesterday we had a zoom interview for a possible job next summer. More on that later if it works out. After that we took a hike around Old Mans Cave in the State Park. It was a beautiful and well thought out hike.
We came back and did 3 loads of laundry a d made a crust less pizza for dinner. Great day.
