I-64 Drive Day
There wasn’t a whole lot to report from yesterday. We left at about 11:55 with a noon checkout. Little Beaver State Park was very nice and in a great location. We highly recommend this park. There are no full hookups, but water and electric with a dump on site. The road off the interstate is steep and windy, just take your time.
The I-64 through WVA and VA is beautiful. What a pleasant surprise. We arrived in the area of our Harvest Host, Barren Ridge Winery and it was 96*. With no hookups, we decided to see if we could get into our campground a day early. Katy made a few phone calls and we added an hour to our trip. The drive up the 81 through the Shenandoah Valley is also really nice.
We got set up and just hung out in the shade. We had leftovers for dinner and hit the pool after the kids cleared out. It was 94* in the shade and the store thermometer said 105*. We don’t have much for pictures for this post, it’s mostly for our record of this crazy adventure. Semper Gumby.
