Cape Cod
We drove over to the Cape yesterday. We left the campground at exactly 11 after flushing the tanks. It was a little over two hours and was pretty uneventful. The road conditions near Providence RI were horrible, I’m surprised we didn’t break a trailer axle. Getting out to the Cape was pretty easy, the canal bridge wasn’t busy.
Getting off the Cape was a different story. I’d say the traffic was backed up and crawling to the bridge for 5 miles, maybe more. I hope it’s not that bad leaving on Tuesday. We found our spot near Brewster and got set up. We took the kids for a quick lap and then put them in the trailer.
We drove up towards Provincetown and made a few stops on the way. We had some great fish at Moby Dicks, stopped to see a light house, which was under reconstruction. The mosquitoes at the lighthouse/golf course were straight out of a horror movie. There was no stopping to enjoy the sights.
We continued north up the Cape and found another beach. We didn’t stop at the Visitor Center and just headed for the water. It was a beautiful afternoon and the beach wasn’t very busy. No one was out in the water very far. I put my feet in and it was pretty chilly. I turned around and a lady was wearing a Sisters Oregon T shirt. I told her we used to live in Sisters and she said she had just visited. She is originally from Philly, but went out there to visit a friend. She said she likes it out there and they had done a few hikes, even with the smoke.
After the beach we drove through Provincetown and headed back to the rig. We fed the kids and then watched all of our Sunday YouTube shows.
