Rainy Day
Yesterday we dealt with rain all day. It had rained all night too. This was a first for a long time. We’ve been so fortunate with good weather on this adventure. We got packed up and began our short drive south to the state park.
We pulled into White Lake State Park and the sign to the beach said No Pets in the Park. I thought that it maybe just meant the beach. Katy went into the office and a sign outside said no pets. We found out it was no pets in the park for the summer/fall season. Oops, time for a plan B.
We drove a mile down the road and found a BBQ spot with plenty of room and we split a lunch. We also found a Harvest Host another hour down the road so we made a reservation. It was rainy and windy on the drive down and we stopped for some $3.13 diesel only to see $3.09 diesel just down the road.
We pulled into Hidden Moon Brewing and got set up in the mud. There were two other travelers staying the night. We enjoyed talking to the owner and his staff as well as another couple who is traveling through from NC. We were treated to a great sunset and are looking forward to a new state today. We will definitely be back to NH.
