Salem Mass

Yesterday we drove up to Salem.  We were a few miles into our trip and pulled up to a stop sign.  I looked down and it appeared that someone poured out a piggy bank.  I cleared the intersection, pulled over and ran back across the street.

A guy in a black truck pulled up and saw what I was doing.  Picking up change in the road.  He said he thought it was his money and then said “don’t get run over for a pile of change.”I just went for the quarters and was only there for a minute.  Katy counted it and I made $13.

We had to stop for diesel on the ride north and found it for $2.99.  That’s the first time under $3 in a few months…exciting, I know.  As we pulled into the park it started raining.  We got set up and hung out for a bit as it poured.  As the rain slowed, we decided to take a drive through Salem.  It’s a cute town right on the water.  There are lots of boats in the harbor and quite a few nice homes on the water.

We took a quick walking tour through the Essex location and got home about 5:30.  We made some chicken on the grill and watched a bit of TV.  Our spot is totally paved and has water and electric.  We also have a nice view of the harbor out the back window.
