Biking to Belfast

Yesterday we slow rolled the morning figuring traffic would be heavy with people heading home.  I spent some time on the beach listening to some podcasts and picking beach glass. It was a pretty successful walk.

We did some laundry and I did some bike maintenance and cleaned out the back of the truck.  In the early afternoon we decided to bike into Belfast for lunch.  We stopped at Young’s Lobster Pound but I wasn’t too confident at having my food not touch some lobster at some point.  We continued into town and ended up eating at Darby’s.  The food was good and it was pretty fast.

After lunch we looked around town a bit and then biked back to the rig.  We took the kids for a ride to Searsport in the truck and came back to start a fire.  We had a nice sunset and tried to get to bed at 10 for waking up early today.  Our neighbors were outside watching Monday Night Football and the TV was up high.  They were also really loud and the guy was voicing his displeasure with plays “to the TV”.

At about 1040, I went outside to ask if they could turn the TV down a bit.  The lady said sure, the guy looked over his shoulder and didn’t say a word.  He walked up to the TV and turned it down though.  It was a win, until I went inside.  I think he turned it up again.  They only stayed outside for another 20 minutes and we were able to doze off.
