Lewes (Pronounced Lewis).

Yesterday we got up and the second of three propane tanks went dry.  The third one is our backup and we use it to run the grill.  I quickly switched things over and made some coffee and breakfast.

After our morning routine, we headed into Lewes and picked up some propane and some other essentials at Acme.  We also stopped at the Outlet Liquor store which claims it is the 3rd largest store in the country.  They had quite the selection of beer, wine and liquor.  We found Deschutes, Crater Lake Vodka and Rogue products.  Not that we bought them all, just that we found them on the Delaware coast.

We later took a 10 mile bike ride into town and around the area.  There is a nice trail network.  We received some local recommendations for food and drink but they were not open.  We headed to the Wheelhouse and had a drink and appetizer.  We met a couple there who wanted us to stay longer so they could buy us a drink to show us Delaware hospitality, but we had already made plans.

We had company at 6 pm,  Mike and Lauren started following our journey a few months ago when they saw us driving on I95.  It was fun to meet up with them and chat for a few hours.  They brought us some local beers and great conversations.  We had a fire and a few beers.  It was a good day.
