People From Away

Tourists in Maine are referred to as “from away” or “people from away”.  We heard it a few times on our trip.  We always used to say, “Brace yourselves, the tourists are coming” when we lived in Bend.  Tourists, it’s just easier to say.

Enough lamenting on that for now.  We spent 13 days in Maine and loved every minute of it.  Yesterday was beautiful again and it was in the low 70’s when we left Moorings Campground.  The place and workers were fantastic and it was difficult to leave.  It could be that Maine was the last “goal” location of the trip.  The reality that this adventure is drawing to a close is being met with mixed feelings.  We know Florida will be great and it will be nice to park for a few months.  Getting our bank account to level out will also be nice and it’s needed.

We drove a few hours south yesterday to Hampton NH.  We stayed at another harvest host last night.  Throwback brewery has a nice relatively flat parking lot along with some good food and beer.  The Korean chicken wings are up there on the wing spectrum.  It was also 80* when we got here.  Is it really mid October?
