Is honesty the best policy?

Wednesday was spent close to home.  We got our 10,000 steps in the park, mainly walking around our lot.  I cleaned all the upholstery in the rig.  It was a long time coming.  It had started our gray and turned a bit tan.  It’s all Duncan and Maggie’s fault.

Katy kicked butt on cleaning up the leaves, branches and acorns.  These southern oaks are beautiful, but what a mess.  I picked up a leaf blower from the office, those are fun.  The power washer wouldn’t work so I have to go back and get the other one when it gets back.

Yesterday biked over and played Pickleball with the crew again.  There were only 4 of us so we played quite a few games.  I’m starting to get the hang of it at this point.  I still have a few racquetball habits to break.  Paddle control is not on point yet as I’m used to a racquet, but I’ll get there.

After Pickleball we walked the dogs and then made a break for Costco and Petco.  That’s not going to be a regular trip.  It was 70 miles and 90 minutes with all the small towns to get through.  Costco had samples for the win, but was out of our favorite toilet paper.  All they had was the single ply “airport or public restroom” BS.

When we got back, there was a really nice flag ceremony at the park.  There are quite a few veterans in the park including the manager who retired from the Army.  He put his uniform on and said a few words in front of the flagpole.  It was really nice and there was a great turnout.

On a side note, we are finding that no one is responding to our emails or applications.  I have been up front with places that we will be leaving in mid April.  I’m not sure that is the best route to take when looking for employment.  The one shop I’ve been into twice is still looking for a “long term” employee.  Maybe we’ll get a call today?
