Sebastian Inlet and Jobs
We’ve been staying at Sebastian Inlet SP for the past few days. We have a great spot along the water with a great view of the inlet and back into Indian River. The park is immaculate and the staff is great. The beach area out by the ocean is a little more busy and has quite a surf following. We’ve spent a lot of time over there.
Now for the bad. I have never seen no see ums this bad in my entire life. Multiple campers have left early due to how bad the bugs are. We even bought specific spray for them and we’re still bit up. We haven’t sat still outside for any amount of time near the rig. I even think they are getting in with the windows closed. Such a bummer. As I said, we’ve spent a lot of time by the ocean as they are not bad over there.
We’ve had a lot of dolphin activity out the window and on our walks around the park. Yesterday we visited two farm stands in the area and had lunch out for the first time in over a week. That was a big accomplishment for us. The tots were good, the Mahi not so much. It might not have been Mahi…
We applied to multiple places in the past week and had a team interview yesterday afternoon. Phone interviews are sometimes difficult and awkward but this one wasn’t bad. It turned out good for us and we will soon be Texas residents for a few months. I also stayed up late and watched a SpaceX launch from Cape Canaveral last night. It was awesome, lighting up the sky like a sunrise. We will be bouncing around Florida for one more week before our trek westward.
