Cold in Texas

My apologies on the delayed postings.  Again, there hasn’t been much to report.  I’ve been hanging out at the gate and walking the property 5 days a week and Katy is taking calls and making pizzas.

The weather pattern overall has been pretty chilly with a nice day or two sprinkled in.  In the past two weeks we’ve gone and had brunch at Snooze, hit up the Farmers Market at the Alamo Quarry, took some driving tours and hung out with co-workers.  Oops, I almost forgot that we visited another winery.  Dry Comal Creek.  Their wines were pretty good and I think we’d go back on a nicer day.

This past weekend we had one nice day and took a ride on the Mission Trail from Mission Espada up into the Bluestar Area of town.  We split a pretzel at the brewery and each had a drink before biking back.  The trail is great and we will be doing it again.  I need to stop along the way and take a few more pictures.

We also spent some time getting to know our neighbors and co workers.  We had a few drinks and some snacks.  It was a nice time and reaffirmed why we are out on the road still.

The weather coming into the weekend is getting pretty cold.  There’s a winter weather advisory and people are panicking based on last years event.  If you have been following along on our journey you may remember the great Texas snowpacalypse of 21’.  Folks are worried it will happen again.

I hooked up our heated hose, topped off the propane and went to the grocery store last night.  Some of the shelves were empty.  It’s currently 33* and raining and the temps are supposed to fall soon.  We shall see what happens.  I go in at 0830 today because I worked through a part of lunch yesterday.
