New Schedule

We made it through the “hectic rodeo season”.  All joking aside, the park was very busy.  I used some jerbal vudu for the first time in a long time.  We also started our new schedule and had some time to explore.

We did a day trip up to Fredericksburg and wandered the town again.  It was funny that we were there exactly a year before.  We had lunch at the Fredericksburg Brewery and got a glass of wine from Grape Creek to walk around town.  It was nice walking around and the town was a lot busier than last year.  On a sad note, several places were shut down.

We also visited Bending Branch winery in Comfort which was a nice place.  We did a tasting and left with a bottle of Rose.  It was 88* last Tuesday and the temp was 33* on Wednesday.  Quite the ups and downs here.

This weekend we headed up to Wimberly Texas which is a really cute town.  It’s like Sisters OR, meets Texas.  We went to Blue Hole Park and another swimming area with a nice bar and deck.  The patrons were overly excited by a soccer game which was one in OT by a exhilarating touchdown.  We stayed on the deck and enjoyed a cider and IPA.  It would probably be a great place to get on the water in warmer weather.

Monday we headed for Boerne and had some BBQ at the original Rudy’s.  We then headed for Hill Country and visited Sister Creek Winery.  It’s in an old cotton gin and the building is pretty great.  The wines were good and we left with a bottle of Chardonnay.  We took the backroads home and grilled some burgers.

Yesterday we had Sis in the shop to get the front axle replaced.  It went well and we brought the dogs to the vet for yearly shots etc.  That was a large bill, but we’re glad we got in on short notice.  After picking up the trailer, we went to Discount Tire and put new shoes on her.  Another large bill, but we now have 10 ply tires.

Today we were back to work and there’s not much to report about that.
