Branson

Branson was a little damp yesterday morning.  We hung out at the trailer and planned the rest of our trip.  It is of course up to revision if there is bad weather ahead.  I.e. tornado events, large hail and high winds or snow squalls.

After the the rain, we headed into town and down to historic Branson.  We had to physically pick up our show tickets which is quite the boondoggle.  It is an opportunity for them to try to glean all sorts of personal information and sell you “Fantastic Vacations at fantastic prices”.  I was a bit short with them but should have had a drug out conversation if I had more patience.  Downtown was very busy so we didn’t spend a bunch of time down there.  It seemed like a ton of shops we’ve already been in at another location.  We had a little wine tasting at St James and hung out for a bit.

When we left town we stopped by the Table Rock Dam for a few pictures.  It is pretty impressive and had 8 of 10 gates open.  The dogs got a few laps in when we got back and we fed them early so Duncan didn’t freak out while we were gone.  He is so food driven.

We made it to our show just as it started.  The Dolly Parton Stampede is the most popular dinner show out there.  It was mostly cool and they have a little bit of everything for all ages.  It was cool seeing a show in Branson, but this one is probably more suited for kids.  There was some pretty cool horsemanship that everyone can appreciate though.

We made it back to the rig before dark and watched a bit of TV before bed.
