Settling In
This weekend we explored our new area a bit. We cleaned the trailer again and did a bunch of laundry. We grocery shopped at Super 1 and Safeway as well as a local meat shop.
We’ve checked out a few parks along the lake and also did the trail at Kerr Dam. There was no water coming over the dam, just through the turbines at the power plant. I have a feeling we’ll get to see it in the next few months.
On Saturday I ran the truck up to Kalispell Ford for an oil change, fuel filters and a tire rotation. We were a couple hundred miles overdue for service. The main air cleaner was possibly the dirtiest I’ve ever seen. It might have something to do with having the truck running for an hour in the dust storm of Nebraska. I also made an appointment for the steering to be checked. Our truck has fallen victim to the Ford death wobble, although it’s not as extreme as some I’ve seen. It’s just something to get taken care of on Fords dime.
Yesterday we walked the dogs a bunch and then caught a matinee at the Showboat Cinemas. What a cool little place, there are 6 different theaters. We saw Father Stu with Mark Wahlberg. It was a really good movie, we had previously listened to a podcast with him and Willie Geist where they discussed the movie. It’s worth a watch and the matinee was only $6.50.
We made some steaks with mushroom and onion along with some bacon wrapped asparagus for dinner. After dinner, we watched our Sunday YouTube shows. We start work today and are actually looking forward to it.
