Ringing out 2022.
The past few weeks have been pretty vanilla. We haven’t done much exploring as I’ve picked up a few extra shifts at work. We’ve gone out to Cedar Key and Katy had a red style clam chowder for the first time. It was at 29* North and she said it was really good. We also played some open face 5
Card poker at City Bar and Katy won on the second hand. She donated the money back to the bar owner so he could split it among the employees.
For Christmas we hung out all day, took a walk or two with the kids and played quite a few games. Our Christmas tree was decorated nicely and we even had a few presents to brighten it up. We also had our Christmas Eve lasagna, I know it’s not a common tradition.
After just over a year we received our replacement screen door. This is the last time we own a trailer with a door from Italy. Thanks to the folks at Lippert for helping out. We also had to put two new batteries in the truck this week which isn’t cheap. One of the dogs also chewed the back seat of the truck so we’ll be on the lookout for a new cover. The year was a little bumpy, but we had a bunch of highs that we are grateful for:
We are healthy.
We visited 19 states even with everything going on.
We are employed.
We are wintering in Florida.
We are Florida residents now.
We have a few trips in the works for this year.
I have also set a goal of less Social Media , more reading, learning Spanish and more self care. I’ll likely do more blogging than Insta Posts so you can check in on us there or give me a call or text. Blog link is in our bio.
Have a wonderful 2023, Happy New Year.
