What a week, big changes soon.

It’s been quite the week for us.  Walked the dogs a lot, sat by the water.  Did some grocery shopping and visited Islamorada Brewing Co and distillery.  They may have the best baked pretzel with an awesome beer cheese.

I got absolutely fried sitting in the shade early in the week, I looked like a paint by number project.  That’s getting better now.  Who would’ve thought, we were under an umbrella and didn’t notice any reflection around us.  Oh well, that was a valuable lesson to wear a sun shirt or sunscreen at the 25th parallel.  Yesterday we moved down the keys about 11 miles to a resort we stayed at before.  We forgot how nice it was.  We were able to secure an early check in as the place we were at did not allow a late checkout.  The resort we had been at was very nice, we just found it odd there were no late checkouts when the place was at 50% capacity.

This morning we sat outside to drink our coffee as the sun came up.  It was a beautiful morning, but the no see ums were pretty bad.  We put some lavender essential oils on, just as I did yesterday.  This time my right eye started to swell shut and my lips swelled and got numb.  I eventually found two 4 year old Benadryl caplets and took those.  After an hour of still not feeling right, we stopped over to visit the Marathon Fire Department.  They ran a quick vitals check and asked some questions and said I was good to go.  After meeting with them we went and picked up a new box of Benadryl.

The big thing for the week is that I enrolled in trade school for Advanced RV Tech.  This means we are headed for Texas for a few months.  It’s something I’ve been thinking about for quite some time and will help keep us living this lifestyle after I finish and start an LLC.  This totally changes our plans, but the lifestyle allows for a stop and pivot.  I wasn’t going to attend until fall, but they had openings for May.  In the words of Billy Madison, “Back to school, back to school.”
