Hattiesburg to Texas
We spent three nights at Paul Johnson State Park south of Hattiesburg MS. It was a quick drive up and we had the park to ourselves for the most part for the first two nights. We walked the dogs quite a bit and threw the ball for Duncan. Maggie tweaked a front leg down in Biloxi and has been moving a little slow so just walks for her. We had a lake view and quite a bit of waterfowl, Canada geese and Heinz 57 ducks. We had a great bike ride on the Longleaf Trace. The trail is an old railroad grade and stretches 44 miles one way. We did a 32 mile round trip. We stopped for lunch at Fajitas in Sumrall and really enjoyed our street tacos. It’s definitely worth a stop if you find yourself there. Thursday we Went to the farmers market in town and picked up a few things to include homemade honey butter…so good.
