TN, NC, GA

While making our way south we made a quick stop in Knoxville TN.  We were supposed to stay at a Boondockers location but they had a wildfire the night before.  Upon our arrival, there were still TN Fire Officials and rigs still on site.  Smoke was still swirling up on the hill so we decided to pass on that stop.  Flashbacks of August 2018 and the evacuation of our new home.

We made a brief and expensive stop in Knoxville as it was college game day with TN and GA playing.  Parking was $40 downtown.  We quickly checked out the market, had some tacos and left.  We did have a nice visit with a classmate from NRVTA.    Next stop was Asheville and the Biltmore.  The Biltmore could be it’s own post as I took about 150 photos during the day there.

The Christmas display was amazing and so are the grounds.  175,000 square foot mansion and 8,000 acres.  Mind blown.  Forest City NC was our next stop where we stayed at a full hookup Boondock spot and checked out the town Christmas lights.  It is the biggest display in NC and was totally worth the stop.  The town does it up right  and the mayor leads everyone in prayer before they “cut the lights on”.    We are now down in the mountains of north GA and will be here for another 10 days or so.
