SeRV Projects

Over the past two weeks, we were blessed with hosting two great seRV events.  On 3-14 we hosted a card making event at Gulf State Park.  The cards were for hospitalized children and their families at

the Ronald McDonald House in Pensacola.  We met some great people and had amazing conversations about life and travel.  One couple even drove from over an hour away to participate.

The following week, we were back at the Ronald McDonald House to make lunch for the families there.  We also incorporated the monthly challenge into this visit by making meals for the staff and other volunteers at the house.  There were 13 of us and it is amazing what can be completed in just a few hours:

Lunch for 26 families, 10 employees and a board meeting of 10-15 people.  We also accomplished cleaning windows, washing tables, moving carts/repairing carts, swapping washing machines, doing laundry, pressure washing high chairs, cleaning the fountain, washing walls and making more cards for the families and children.  Great conversations were had also.
